The new streaming platform Quibi, which is launching on April 6th 2020. Quibi will launch with its quick bite episodes of The Fugitive, which will be available in 6-10 minute episodes.
Quibi is an American short-form mobile video platform which is unlike other streaming video platforms like Netflix. Quibi’s content is a new concept where episodes will be viewed in chapters of 6 to 10 minutes. It is the first service that will only be viewed on mobile phones and can be viewed in what they call Turnstiles. This means a viewer can watch in either Portrait or landscape mode. It is even said that some content will be interactive showing different areas dependent on the way the phone is viewed. Each episode is edited in both formats, so the viewers chosen format will always be at its best for the feature.
Kiefer reports, this is one of the best scripts I have. read in almost 10 years
Quibi‘s The Fugitive is an adaption of the original 1993 Harrison Ford movie. Which also stars Boyd Holbrook
The Fugitive centers on Mike Ferro (Holbrook), a passenger on an L.A. subway train that is bombed. All he wants is to make sure his wife and 10-year-old daughter are safe, but faulty evidence on the ground and “tweet now, confirm later” journalism make it look for all the world like Mike was responsible for the bombing.
Wrongfully, and publicly accused, Mike must prove his innocence by finding the real perpetrator before legendary Detective Clay Bryce (Sutherland), who’s heading the investigation, can apprehend him. With the city in a panic and misinformation spreading via social media, Mike’s life and family hang in the balance as he goes on the run.
The series comes from Warner Bros. TV and is produced by Thunder Road Films with 3 Arts Entertainment. Santora and Hopkins executive produce with Basil Iwanyk, Tom Lassally and Albert Torres.
